Government of Jhalawar: Administrative Structure

The District Collector and Magistrate, currently Shri Ajay Singh Rathore, leads the district administration. He ensures the implementation of government policies, oversees law and order, supervises revenue matters, and coordinates disaster management. Additionally, the district is divided into 12 tehsils—Aklera, Asnawar, Bakani, Dag, Gangdhar, Jhalrapatan, Khanpur, Manoharthana, Pachpahar, Pirawa, Raipur, and Sunel—for efficient governance. Each tehsil has blocks and panchayats to ensure that public services reach all areas effectively.

Key Initiatives and Development

The Government of Jhalawar actively promotes agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare to ensure comprehensive development. Agricultural initiatives focus on improving irrigation systems and encouraging sustainable farming practices, while educational programs aim to enhance literacy rates and upgrade school facilities across the district. Healthcare services are being expanded, especially in rural regions, to provide citizens with timely medical care. Furthermore, infrastructure projects, including road construction, water supply systems, and sanitation improvements, are underway. Social welfare programs target marginalized communities, particularly women and Scheduled Tribes. In addition, efforts to promote local industries and employment generation are strengthened. Consequently, these initiatives collectively contribute to balanced economic growth and improved quality of life for the residents.

Government of Jhalawar: Law and Order

Law and order remain a priority for the district administration. The police department, under the supervision of the District Collector, ensures public safety, crime prevention, and peaceful coexistence. Furthermore, community awareness programs on safety, women’s protection, and civic responsibility are conducted regularly. As a result, the district maintains a secure environment for both citizens and visitors.

Challenges and Future Outlook

Although Jhalawar has made significant progress, challenges such as water scarcity, unemployment, and infrastructure gaps persist. Therefore, the administration is focusing on digital governance, industrial development, and sustainable growth. Additionally, community engagement and targeted interventions are promoted to ensure inclusive and long-term development.
