Bordoibam Bilmukh Bird Sanctuary, located in Lakhimpur, is a magnificent bird sanctuary that attracts bird enthusiasts from all over. The sanctuary experiences a moist tropical climate and receives around 2000mm of rainfall annually. With an elevation of 90-95 meters above sea level, the area sees temperatures ranging from 7°C to 35°C throughout the year.

In addition to birds, the sanctuary also houses various indigenous fish and frog species. Mammals such as fishing cats, porcupines, hog deer, and otters can also be found in the sanctuary, further enhancing its biodiversity.
