Fatehabad is one of the 22 districts in the state of Haryana, India. The state established it on July 15, 1997, after separating it from the larger Hisar district. Firuz Shah Tughlaq, a ruler of the Tughlaq dynasty, founded the district during his reign in the 14th century.
