Manas National Park

Manas National Park and the Manas Tiger Reserve, located on the western side of the district at the foothills of Bhutan, is a major tourist destination, attracting visitors both nationally and internationally. The park is home to a rich diversity of wildlife, including 60 species of mammals, 312 species of birds, 42 reptiles, 7 amphibians, 54 fish species, and over 100 types of insects. Among the most commonly seen animals are the Tiger, Leopard, Golden Langur, Pygmy Hog, Dhanesh bird, Wild Buffalo, Bison, Python, Wild Cat, Elephant, Hyena, and Fox. The Manas River flows through the park, adding to its natural beauty. A new river rafting facility has been introduced for tourists. Both government and private accommodations, along with food options, are available for visitors.
