The Panipat Museum was created to showcase Haryana’s rich archaeology, history, art, and crafts, with a particular emphasis on the three major Battles of Panipat. The museum’s exhibits include antiquities, inscriptions, sculptures, arms and armor, pottery, and valuable documents. These artifacts are complemented by maps, writings, photographs, and slides, offering a comprehensive view of Panipat’s historical significance. The museum pays homage to legendary warriors like Samrat Hem Chandra Vikramaditya, Raja Surja Mal of Bharatpur, Vishwas Rao Peshwa, and others who made sacrifices during these battles.
