The hill also hosts an open temple dedicated to the Hindu god Narasimha (नरसिंह). The stone idol has a demonic appearance, unlike the usual depictions of Hindu deities. Some believe that the aboriginal tribes, including the Santhals, Kols, Mundas, and Bhils, worshipped this idol long before it became associated with mainstream Hinduism. According to history, King Chandavarman had his fort on the same hill. However, today, there is no fort remaining, except for the Narasimha temple, surrounded by lush greenery and nature. It is believed that the king was killed in a conflict against Chandragupta Maurya.
