Tosham Lake

Tosham is a town and Gram Panchayat located at the base of the Tosham Hill range in Bhiwani district, Haryana, India. It has earned the title of “Adarsh Village” and is positioned in the foothills of the Tosham range, part of the Aravalli Mountain Range. The area is rich in historical significance, featuring forts, carvings, paintings, temples, and sacred ponds, some of which date back over 1,800 years. It remains a rural locality.

The Tosham hills are also an important biodiversity hotspot within the “western-southern Haryana” section of the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor. However, the region is facing ecological threats due to unsustainable mining activities, which contribute to pollution and environmental degradation.
