Introduction

Smt. Anandiben Patel (born November 21, 1941) is an Indian politician and educator who has been serving as the 32nd Governor of Uttar Pradesh since July 29, 2019. She previously held the position of Governor of Madhya Pradesh and served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2014 to 2016, becoming the first woman to hold that office in the state. A senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), she has dedicated her career to promoting education, women’s empowerment, and rural development. Under her leadership, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed several initiatives focusing on education reforms, child welfare, and public service efficiency.

Smt. Anandiben Patel is an experienced Indian politician and the current Governor of Uttar Pradesh. She began her political journey as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and served the people of Gujarat in various capacities. Before assuming the governorship of Uttar Pradesh, she held the position of Governor of Madhya Pradesh from January 2018 to July 2019 and briefly served as the Governor of Chhattisgarh during that period. A dedicated leader and former educator, Anandiben Patel served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2014 to 2016, becoming the first woman to hold that position in the state. Throughout her political career, she has worked actively for the empowerment of women, the promotion of education, and the implementation of developmental schemes at the grassroots level.

She assumed office as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh on July 29, 2019, and continues to play a vital role in guiding the state’s governance and administration. Under her leadership, Raj Bhavan actively supports initiatives focused on education, rural development, and women’s welfare.
