Historical Significance of the Gandhi Seva Ashram
The Gandhi Seva Ashram in Palwal is historically significant as the site where Mahatma Gandhi was arrested on April 10, 1919, during his journey to Punjab to protest the Rowlatt Act. To honor this event, a memorial was established by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on October 2, 1938.
