Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose is an Indian civil servant and author who currently serves as the 22nd Governor of West Bengal. He retired as an IAS officer from the Kerala cadre and held key administrative roles, including District Collector, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Chairman of central public sector enterprises. He introduced several innovative governance models and actively represented India in international forums. In November 2022, the President of India appointed him as the Governor of West Bengal.

Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose was born on January 2, 1951, in Mannanam, Kottayam, Kerala. He completed his early education in Kerala, earned a Master’s degree in English Literature, and later received a Ph.D. in Habitat Management from BITS Pilani.
During his administrative career, he actively promoted educational reforms. He launched innovative learning programs, introduced e-learning platforms in schools, and restructured examination systems. He also wrote over 70 books, many of which educators and students widely use today.
