Shri Narayan Das Thakur Ata, a disciple of Shrimanta Sankardeva, came to offer his devotion at this site, which is believed to have been established by cowherds (Gorokhia). The architecture of this Than closely resembles the Kirtanghar of Barpeta Satra. The Than spans an area of 25 Bighas and is known for hosting the annual Doul festival, which is celebrated with great grandeur and enthusiasm.
